Dyneema Rope for Poi / Rope Dart

Lightweight, extremely strong and very low-stretch rope for building and modifying poi, rope darts and other props where strength and low weight are important.

The rope is made from 100% Dyneema / UHMWPE and has a strand construction without a core. Its combination of very high strength, minimal stretch and excellent abrasion resistance makes it particularly well suited for dynamic props and custom builds.

Why Dyneema?

Dyneema is an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibre known for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. Compared with conventional ropes, it can provide very high strength while remaining lightweight and highly flexible.

The low stretch is especially useful for props where you want the movement to remain precise and responsive. The rope also handles abrasion well and is suitable for splicing, making it a practical choice for custom prop construction.

The construction without a core makes the rope particularly convenient for creating splices and attaching hardware without requiring bulky knots.

Important

Dyneema is NOT fire resistant.

When using it together with fire props, keep the rope well away from the burning wick and any direct flame or prolonged radiant heat. Dyneema can lose its strength and melt when exposed to high temperatures.

For fire applications, the rope should never be treated as a heat-resistant component.

The price is for 1 metre of rope.

If you order multiple metres, the rope will be supplied as one continuous length whenever possible.
